FAQs

How is hire priced? All machines are quoted individually. Daily, weekly, monthly and long-term rates are available, and longer hire periods can be quoted based on the machine and job requirements. Tell us the required dates so the team can check the current fleet.

Do you deliver? Yes. Delivery is quoted for the suburb, machine and site access.

Can I pick up a machine myself? Pickup may be available for 19ft electric scissor lifts when hired with a suitable Brian James trailer. Confirm towing suitability, tie-down requirements, machine weight and trailer suitability before booking.

Do I need a licence? In NSW, the WP high-risk work licence applies to a boom-type elevating work platform where the boom length is 11 metres or more. Other EWP work, including scissor lifts, still requires appropriate information, instruction, training and demonstrated competency (an EWPA Yellow Card is one common way to show this), and a site or principal contractor may impose additional requirements. Confirm current requirements with SafeWork NSW and your site.

Can I hire an operator or spotter? Yes, select “Yes, please quote this” in the quote form and we’ll include it in your quote.

Can I buy a machine instead of hiring? We welcome buy enquiries on fleet machines, use “Enquire to buy” on any product page.

How does charging work for electric machines? Charge overnight for 8 hours continuously for optimal performance. A standard outlet is fine for the 19ft units.

How do I end my hire? Submit the off-hire form. Charges continue until off-hire is confirmed.

Need access equipment for a job?
