Neither figure is available at the same time as full capacity: the load chart for the machine sets what it can lift at a given height and reach, and capacity falls away sharply as the boom extends. Recorded machine width runs from 1.85 m to 2.44 m. The narrowest machine here is wider than a standard 0.82 m (820 mm) internal doorway, so it needs a double door, a roller shutter or a wider opening. Measure the clear opening rather than the door frame, and tell us the tightest point on the whole route in.
Between 5,050 kg and 12,050 kg. Weight decides two things: whether the floor or ground carries the machine, and what has to be on site to unload it. Ask us for the figure for a specific machine if a slab rating or a suspended floor is involved.
Maximum lift capacity is 2500 kg to 4000 kg. That is the figure at the machine's most favourable position, not at full height or full reach. Capacity at maximum height and capacity at maximum reach are both lower, and both come off the load chart for the specific machine.
A forklift suits pallets on a level, sealed floor at low height. A telehandler lifts higher, reaches forward over a trench, fence or slab edge, and works on compacted site ground. If the load has to go up a level or out past an obstruction, start with a telehandler.
