Overview
The LGMG H1440 is the high-reach telehandler in the Equip Hire fleet: 4,000kg rated capacity to a 13.6m maximum lift height, with 9.22m of horizontal outreach and hydraulic outriggers to steady the chassis for reach work. Four-wheel drive and four-wheel steer with a 4.2m turning radius keep a 6.08m long machine workable on site; frame tilt of plus or minus 9 degrees levels the load, and 65% gradeability handles unformed access tracks. A 74.5kW Perkins diesel drives four forward gears to 30km/h and three reverse gears to 20km/h, stopping in 5.5m or less from 20km/h unladen. The manufacturer publishes two load charts, outriggers fully open and outriggers not open, so plan every lift on the chart that matches how the machine will be set up. Working height, not platform height
This machine is rated at 13.6 m (about 45 feet). Working height is what a person can reach from the platform, not the height of the platform floor. The difference is roughly two metres, and it is the figure most quotes get wrong.
