Where it works

Best-fit jobs and sites

  • Indoor fit-outs, electrical and HVAC, retail and warehouse maintenance, ceiling and services work on finished slabs.

Good to confirm: Solid non-marking tyres and low clearance — smooth, firm surfaces only. Not for outdoor rough ground. An online listing cannot replace a site assessment, so tell us the job and we will confirm suitability.

Buying

Inspection, transport and handover

What happens between your enquiry and the machine arriving.

Swipe

Inspection

The machine is at our Berkshire Park depot in Western Sydney and you are welcome to inspect it, or have your own technician inspect it, before you commit. Call to arrange a time.

Transport

We sell Australia wide and can arrange transport to your state, or you are welcome to arrange your own carrier and collect from the depot.

Licence and competency

Scissor-type EWP. No high-risk work licence required in NSW; EWPA Yellow Card (SL) is the accepted operator competency.

What comes with it

Where we hold them, the machine is handed over with its specification sheet, operation manual and current plant registration. Ask us what exists for this unit before you buy.

Want to see it first?

Tell us where you are and what you need it for. We will confirm the condition, the hours and what transport to your state would involve.

Power

Charging this machine

Battery electric, charged from a normal household power point.

Swipe

Batteries

4 x 6V 220Ah

Maintenance-free batteries

Sealed and maintenance free: no topping up with water, no battery servicing to arrange during your hire.

Charges from a normal 10 amp wall plug

The charger is onboard. Plug it into any standard 10 A / 240 V power point, no three-phase, no site power upgrade and no separate charger to hire. 27A onboard (240V outlet)

Overnight charge, full day’s work

About 8 hours from flat. Runtime on the day depends on battery condition, drive distance and lift cycles, so tell us if the job runs long shifts.

Keeping it charged on site

  • Confirm a live, accessible power point near where the machine parks overnight. A machine left away from power starts tomorrow flat.
  • Plug in at the end of every shift, not “when it gets low”. Topping up at breaks helps on heavy days.
  • Charge in a ventilated area and keep the charger and lead dry.
  • Zero emissions and quiet running, so it suits indoor, occupied and after-hours work.

Safety

Pre-start checks, every day

Every Equip Hire machine is function-tested before it leaves the yard. The operator still checks it before each shift, tick these off as you go.

Tag it out and call us on 0472 721 234. Never operate a machine with a known fault, we will repair or swap it.

What counts as the record

Ticking here is a memory aid on your phone, nothing is stored. The machine’s own logbook and pre-start check sheet are the record. Based on the manufacturer’s daily check requirements and SafeWork NSW guidance for this kind of equipment.

Site prep

Before it arrives

Five minutes of checking here is what keeps a delivery from becoming a return trip.

Swipe

1

Measure the route, not the door

Every gate, corridor and lift on the way to the work area. Handles, hinges, bollards and stored materials all eat clearance.

2

Confirm the floor

A ground-bearing slab is fine. Suspended slabs, mezzanines and raised floors need the wheel loads checked against the floor rating.

3

Clear the work zone

Overhead services, sprinkler heads and light fittings at working height, and an exclusion zone for people below.

4

Make delivery space

Room for the truck to stop and unload safely. Tell us about docks, driveways and height limits when you book.

5

Find the power point

A live outlet near overnight parking so every day starts on a full charge.

Avoid

Mistakes we see weekly

The things that most often send a machine back or hold up a job.

Swipe

Booking on ceiling height

Measure to the actual task height, then choose the machine. Nothing added “just in case”.

Using the nominal door size

An 820 mm door leaf is not 820 mm of clear opening once the stop and hardware are counted. Measure the gap.

Assuming it can cross a bit of lawn

Wheeled machines rut turf and bog in soft ground. Say so when you book and we will send a tracked machine.

Leaving inductions to delivery morning

Shopping centres and managed sites need the paperwork approved before the truck arrives.
