We deliver from our Berkshire Park depot and confirm four things before booking the run: the entry width, the overhead clearance on the route in, the ground surface, and where the machine will be unloaded. The truck and the machine have separate access needs, so a site can have easy truck access and an impossible route to the work, or the reverse. Approved customers can collect the lighter machines on a suitable trailer. Off-hire starts when you tell us the job is finished, not when the truck arrives.
Delivery is where a hire either goes smoothly or does not go at all. Everything on this page comes from the same principle: the questions get asked before the truck is loaded, not at the kerb.

What do you need from me to book a delivery?
The site address, a contact who will be there, the delivery window that suits the work, and enough about the access to plan the run: the entry width, anything overhead on the way in, the surface, and where the machine can be unloaded.
If the site has an induction, a permit, a loading dock booking or after-hours access rules, that is part of the same conversation. So is the machine itself. Send it all through the quote form and it goes onto the run in one pass.
How does delivery actually work?
The machine leaves Berkshire Park on a truck, checked and serviced by the Workshop Team with its logbook aboard. The Transport Team confirms the route, unloads at the agreed point, walks the machine to where it needs to be if the route allows, and gives a familiarisation on the controls and the emergency lowering before leaving.
Collection at off-hire runs the same way in reverse.
What does the truck need at the site?
Somewhere legal and safe to stop, overhead clearance to raise the tray, and a firm level area to unload onto. Overhead power lines are the hard stop: a tilt tray needs real height above it, and nothing gets unloaded under a line.
Low branches, awnings, shade sails, car park height bars and a soft verge are the other four we meet most often. A photo taken from where you expect the truck to stop answers all of them at once.
What happens if the machine cannot reach the work area?
We find out before delivery, which is the entire point of the access questions. If the route is too tight for the machine you have asked for, we tell you and offer a narrower or tracked one instead.
If it is discovered on the day, the machine goes back on the truck and the run has to be redone with a different machine, which costs you time and costs us a delivery. That is the outcome the measurements exist to prevent. Take them from the site measurement guide or run them through the site access checker.
Can I collect the machine myself?
Approved customers can collect the lighter machines with a suitable vehicle and trailer. It depends on three things: the machine weight, your trailer rating and your vehicle rating, and your licence and load restraint.

Being within the trailer rating is necessary, not sufficient. Your tow vehicle has to be rated for the combined mass and you need to be licensed for it. We confirm all of it before approving a pickup.
What trailer and tow vehicle do I need?
A plant trailer rated above the machine weight with room for the machine footprint, ramps rated for it, and a tow vehicle whose towing capacity and combined mass rating cover the loaded trailer. Load restraint is your responsibility and it needs to be compliant, not improvised.

What do I need to do before the truck arrives?
Clear the unloading area and the route. Unlock the gates. Have the contact on site and reachable. Know where the machine will live overnight, and where it charges if it is electric.
If the machine has to cross a lawn, pavers, a soft verge or anything else that matters to the client, say so before the run rather than after the tracks are on it. That usually changes which machine we send.
How does delivery work on a construction site?
Site rules first. Induction requirements, a delivery window that fits the site traffic management plan, a gate that is manned, and someone to receive the machine. Many sites will not accept a delivery outside a booked slot.
Tell us the requirements when you book and we will work to them. What we cannot do is turn up unannounced and expect a site to fit us in.
How does delivery work at a warehouse or a shopping centre?
Through the dock, usually, and usually to a booking. Shopping centres almost always require a dock booking, after-hours access for anything going into a trading area, and a permit for work at height in a public space.
The machine also has to fit the lift if it is going above ground level. Send us the lift car dimensions and door opening along with the work height, and check the folded stowed height as well as the width. Our compact machines fold to between 1.63 and 1.9 metres.
Do you deliver to rural and regional NSW?
Yes. Berkshire Park sits on the edge of the Hawkesbury, and long driveways, farm gates, unsealed tracks and cattle grids are ordinary work for us rather than an exception.
What we need is a description of the last few hundred metres: the surface, the width, any grid or gate, and whether a rigid truck can turn around at the far end. We cover Windsor and Richmond, the Hills District, Penrith, the Central Coast and regional NSW beyond.
How does off-hire and collection work?
Call or email when the job is finished. That is the off-hire, and the hire period is calculated from it under your hire terms rather than from when the truck happens to arrive. We then schedule the collection.
Park the machine at the agreed collection point, lowered, with the keys where we have arranged. If the machine cannot be moved back to the collection point, tell us when you off-hire so the right vehicle comes.
What should be with the machine when it is collected?
The keys, the charger if one went out with it, the logbook, and any attachment or extension that came with the hire. Batteries should be on charge if the machine has been sitting.
Report any damage, fault or incident when you off-hire rather than leaving it for us to find. A fault we know about is a service job; a fault we discover on the next pre-delivery check is a machine that misses its next booking.
