What machine suits warehouse racking work?
A 19ft electric scissor covers racking to about 7.8 m working height with room for one or two people and tools. For higher bays, a 26ft or 32ft electric scissor keeps the same footprint with more reach.
What about lighting and sprinkler maintenance?
The same electric scissors, chosen by the height of the fittings. Because the platform holds tools and fittings, you climb once and work along the run rather than repositioning a ladder every few metres.
Will the machine mark the floor?
Electric scissors run non-marking tyres and leave no exhaust residue, so polished and sealed slabs stay clean. That is why they are the default machine for occupied warehouses and retail back of house.
How narrow do aisles need to be?
Compact machines at 0.76 to 0.81 m wide work in a one metre clear aisle. Measure your narrowest aisle and racking overhangs, and remember pallets sticking into the aisle count.
Can we run it across shifts?
Charge it overnight on any 240 V outlet and it covers a working day. For double shifts, plan charging into meal breaks or hire a second battery machine so one is always on charge.
How much can we take up on the platform?
Around 230 to 280 kg on compact electrics: two people with hand tools, or one person with fittings and materials. Check the machine page for the exact rating before you plan the lift.
