Tow vehicle and licence
Tell us the vehicle you will tow with and its braked towing capacity. We check the vehicle, the coupling and the loaded combination mass against your licence before the trailer leaves the yard.
Hire period
Hire runs from delivery or pickup until off-hire is confirmed. Rates are quoted for your dates, suburb and machine together, see our hire terms for responsibilities during the hire.

Send your suburb, your dates and the tightest access width. We will confirm the machine and quote the delivery with it.

A plant trailer is checked as a towed load, not as a machine. Our staff restrain the load at the yard; these are the checks that keep it safe on the road.

The four things to sort before you arrive at the depot.

Check the tow vehicle
Braked towing capacity, tow ball rating and the plated GCM must cover the loaded trailer. Bring the numbers, we check them before the trailer leaves the yard.

Check the licence
A car licence covers most 3.5 t plant trailers, but the combination mass and your licence conditions decide it. Say so if you are unsure.

Plan where it unloads
A firm, level spot with room to drop the ramps and drive the machine off straight. Not a slope, not a soft verge.

Plan the route
Height limits, tight turns and steep driveways on the way. A loaded plant trailer does not reverse like a box trailer.

Guessing the tow rating
A vehicle that tows a caravan is not necessarily rated for a 3.5 t plant trailer. Read the plate, not the brochure.
Loading on the tail
Weight behind the axles lifts the tow ball and the trailer will sway. The machine sits centred, load forward of the axles.
Two straps
A machine is restrained at four rated points every time. Our staff restrain it at the yard; keep it that way after any stop.
Unloading on a slope
Ramps on a grade change the angle the machine has to climb. Find level ground first.
