Measure the route, not the door
Every gate, corridor and lift on the way to the work area. Handles, hinges, bollards and stored materials all eat clearance.
Plan the track path
Tracks are gentle on surfaces, but confirm pavers, pit lids and irrigation lines on the route can take the machine’s weight.
Clear the work zone
Overhead services, sprinkler heads and light fittings at working height, and an exclusion zone for people below.
Make delivery space
Room for the truck to stop and unload safely. Tell us about docks, driveways and height limits when you book.

Using the nominal door size
An 820 mm door leaf is not 820 mm of clear opening once the stop and hardware are counted. Measure the gap.
Assuming it can cross a bit of lawn
Wheeled machines rut turf and bog in soft ground. Say so when you book: a tracked machine may suit, after the ground is checked.
Leaving inductions to delivery morning

How high can the Zoomlion ZS0612C reach?
Working height is 7.8 m and the platform floor rises to 5.8 m. Working height is the platform height plus about 2 m for a person standing on the platform, which is how hire sizes are normally stated.
How wide is it, and will it fit through my doorway?
It is 1.15 m wide and 2.19 m long when stowed. We look for at least 50 mm of clearance beyond the machine width at each opening. Measure the narrowest point of the whole route, not just the final doorway: gates, door frames, corridors, lift cars and the turn in from a corridor, which needs more room than a straight approach.
What is its travel height?
Stowed (travel) height is 1.88 m. Check headroom along the route: door heads, roller doors, ducts, sprinklers and ramps.
How much weight can the platform carry?
Rated platform capacity is 230 kg. People, tools and materials all count. The extension deck has its own limit of 113 kg, which applies at the same time as the platform limit.
Can it reach over an obstacle?
A scissor lift goes straight up; the extension deck, where fitted, slides out over the front only. To work over an awning, a roof edge or plant, look at articulating boom lifts, which go up and out.
What ground can it work on?
It is built for uneven or unlevel ground, dirt and light mud, and its non-marking tracks work on hard floors and slab too. Tracks do not make weak ground safe: soft, wet or recently filled ground, pits, trenches, edges and pavers over sand still need a ground-bearing check, and boards may be needed to avoid marking lawn or pavers. Check the floor or ground can carry its weight (see below).
Is it suitable indoors or outdoors?
It is rated for outdoor use. The maximum wind speed for this model is confirmed from its manual before outdoor work. Electric power means no exhaust indoors, but electric power alone does not make a machine rated for outdoor use.
Can it work on a slope?
Gradeability of 30% is the steepest slope it can drive up while stowed. That is not permission to raise the platform on a slope: elevated work needs ground within the manufacturer's tilt limit, and the tilt alarm stops elevation beyond it.
This model has a levelling system: it can level its chassis on uneven ground within limits set in its manual. The ground must still be firm, and the levelling limits checked against your site.
How much setup space does it need?
It has outriggers, so allow for their footprint when set up. Allow a firm area for the delivery truck to unload close to where it will work.
How is it charged?
It runs on batteries (4 x 12V 240Ah). Charger: 24V // 30A. You need a standard power outlet near where it is parked, and it should be charged at the end of each day. Ask us if your site power is limited or temporary.
How long does a charge last?
Runtime depends on how far it drives, how often it lifts, the load, temperature and battery age, so there is no fixed number of hours. Plan to charge it every night, and tell us if your work involves a lot of driving between work areas.
How heavy is it, and can my floor take it?
It weighs about 1,820 kg. Weight alone does not show whether a floor can take it: suspended slabs, mezzanines, pits, pavers and lift cars need their rating checked against the wheel or track loads in the manufacturer's data, by someone able to assess the structure.
Do I need a licence to operate it in NSW?
No high risk work licence is needed for a scissor lift in NSW. Operators must still be trained and competent for this type of machine and familiarised with this model before use, and many sites ask for an industry card such as the EWPA Yellow Card plus their own induction. SafeWork NSW licence guidance.
